SHARONVILLE, Ohio -- Police now say they believe alcohol was a factor in Tuesday's early morning wrong-way crash in Sharonville.

Kayla Chenault, 23, was driving the wrong way on I-275 EB at Mosteller Road when she struck a white box truck at around 2:45 a.m., Sharonville police said Tuesday morning.

Both Chenault and the box truck driver, 38-year-old Derrick Beverly, were injured in the crash and taken to University Hospital. Chenault was air-lifted to the hospital and was initially in critical condition; both drivers are now stable, police said.

The eastbound lanes of the Interstate were closed at Mosteller for nearly five hours.

Sharonville police ask anyone with information on the crash to call 513-563-1147.
