Cashier loses wedding ring in grocery bag

Posted

SHARONVILLE, Ohio – Kiran Shah, a cashier at Kroger, had been bagging groceries for hours recently when he realized his wedding ring was gone.

Shah, who got married in 1983, said he thought the ring was gone for good.

One of Shah’s managers, Sara Cheeseman, had hope the ring could be found and posted a message on Facebook asking customers to check their shopping bags for the lost ring.

One of their customers found the ring in her grocery bag and she returned it.

“She says, ‘I don’t want anything. I give you the ring back, that’s my pleasure,’” Shah said.

His son, Rushit, said they thought it was “pretty amazing.”

Since then, Shah had taken to wearing the ring on his first finger, where he hopes it will be less likely to come off.
