CINCINNATI — Four people were injured in a Westwood apartment fire Thursday afternoon, Cincinnati fire officials said.
Two companies responded with 73 firefighters to a report of a fire at the 2300 block of Montana Avenue.
Due to heavy smoke, an adult and two children were forced to jump from a third-floor window. Three others were rescued from the apartment's rear balconies.
The three who jumped and one who was rescued from the balconies were transported to area hospitals for treatment.
In all, the fire displaced 12 families. The Red Cross is assisting six families on scene displaced by the fire. Officials estimate damages up to $75,000.
