CINCINNATI — A car caught fire Sunday morning in Westwood, and the flames spread to a nearby gas station before they were put out.
According to Cincinnati police officers on scene, a car caught fire and pulled into the parking lot of the Shell gas station at 3093 Queen City Ave. around 3:45 a.m. When firefighters arrived a short while later, the fire had spread from the car to the gas station.
The fire caused heavy damage to the exterior of the gas station, and the car was a total loss, according to the Cincinnati Fire Department. Luckily, no one was inside the building when it caught fire.
The driver of the car was able to walk themselves across the street to Mercy Hospital West. The extent of their injuries are not known at this time.
