CINCINNATI -- The days of waiting in line for a bus pass are through; Cincinnati Metro launched the Cincy EZ Ride mobile app Thursday, meaning metro and streetcar riders can now activate tickets and track their rides via smartphone.
"We thought this would be more responsive to users' needs and wants," Metro spokeswoman Brandy Jones said of the app. "And it makes it convenient to ride the bus and the streetcar."

Users can pay for a single fare or multiple fares at one time.
The app is free and is available for Android phones. It's not available for iPhones yet, as of late Thursday afternoon.
Metro also has a Cincy EZ Park app, which allows users to pay for parking in the city through a mobile phone.
