CINCINNATI -- A woman's body was found lying in the grass in Camp Washington with her pants slightly down, according to Cincinnati Police, who say they suspect foul play.
The victim is 31-year-old Crystal Claxton. Lt. David Johnston of the CPD homicide unit says the case is currently being treated as a death investigation rather than a homicide.
Police say a tow truck driver reported finding the body around 2 a.m. Thursday at the corner of Ralston Avenue and Millcreek Road. He said he didn't want to touch or go near the body, so he said he called 911 immediately.
Police officials say the woman's clothes were disheveled, and they do not believe she had been dead for very long based on the condition of the body.
Homicide detectives arrived on the scene shortly before 5 a.m. to investigate and collect evidence. Her identity and exact cause of death are pending an autopsy, which could be completed Thursday.
