Neighbors in Hyde Park were on the lookout Friday night after receiving reports that a naked man in a white van had exposed himself to a passerby.
The incident took place at the intersection of Michigan Street and Griffiths Street, and it resembles several reported cases of a man attempting to lure Hyde Park School students into his van in September.
Authorities said they aren’t sure if the September reports are connected to the flasher reported this week, but they are similar.
“This is supposed to be such a very nice neighborhood,” said Mary Ann Burwinkel, a Hyde Park resident. “And it truly is. It’s a very nice neighborhood, and it’s truly scary to have someone who is evening thinking about these kinds of things walking our streets.”
Police described the suspect as a white man in his 20s or 30s driving a white van.
