CINCINNATI -- Be careful where you sit.

A viral Facebook video of a downtown Metro stop crawling with bugs prompted a response tonight from city officials, who sent pest control to Government Square Friday afternoon to eradicate the insects.

Watch the video below:

"We appreciate our customers notifying us if they believe they have seen any pests on buses or at any of our facilities," Metro spokesperson Brandy Jones said in a statement. "It will be immediately treated as we work to diligently ensure our service is clean and pest-free."

Jones added that Government Square "is power washed and cleaned daily."

Passengers to whom reporters spoke Friday evening, some of whom had seen the video online, said they weren't keen to sit down even after spraying was finished.

"I'm not going to get bit or ate up," Melvin Goodwin, a Roselawn resident said.
