PD: Domestic fight leads to crash, stabbing

CINCINNATI -- A wild situation unfolded near the University of Cincinnati Monday afternoon after a crash devolved into a stabbing investigation.

The crash happened at about 12:45 p.m. near the corner of McMillan Street and Stratford Avenue.

Officers said when they arrived, they found several people at the scene that had been stabbed.

Investigators said the incident was triggered by a domestic situation between three people.

Police said a man was chasing his ex-girlfriend and her current boyfriend and intentionally crashed into them.

After the crash, the man is accused of stabbing the current boyfriend several times before stabbing himself in the chest and back.

The woman’s current boyfriend was listed in stable conditions at Good Samaritan Hospital. The ex-boyfriend was in serious condition at University of Cincinnati Medical Center.

The woman did not suffer any serious injuries aside from minor abrasions suffered in the crash.

The intersection was shut down as police analyzed the scene for evidence.
