WEST CHESTER TWP., Ohio — A three-alarm fire at an apartment building in West Chester displaced at least 12 people from four families Thursday afternoon, the fire chief said.

No injuries were reported.

Three units were damaged by the fire at 7494 Easton Court, and two were occupied at the time, according to West Chester Chief Rick Prinz.

Fire crews were dispatched at about 12:20 p.m. Officials are working to determine the cause of the fire, and it was too early to estimate the damage cost, Prinz said.

Strong winds made battling the fire more difficult and “pushed” the flames into other units, Prinz said. Smoke from the fire was visible from Interstate 75, as the complex is near the Tylersville Road exit.
