MELBOURNE, Ky. -- A body found Tuesday morning along the Ohio River appears to be a man missing since last week.
Dustin Meadows, 39, was last seen Sept. 20.
A search crew of family and friends found his body on a riverbank across from the Beckjord Power Station at about 10:30 a.m.
Meadows had a home in Melbourne about a half-mile from where searchers found his body.
"His kayaks were all there, so I knew he wasn't out on one of those," older brother Dave Meadows said Tuesday. "So I don't know if he was out swimming. He would go out there all the time. He was a river nut, he just loved it down there. I don't know what happened."
Meadows was born and raised in Fort Thomas and graduated from Highlands High School in 1996.
The Campbell County Coroner's Office will conduct an autopsy.
