West Chester Township was named one of the best places to live in the U.S. by Money Magazine -- but they made the list by the skin of their teeth.
West Chester was ranked No. 49 on the list of the 50 best places to live in the country. (Granted, there are a lot more than 50 towns in the U.S., so 49 is nothing to scoff at.) According to township spokeswoman Barb Wilson, this is the fifth time West Chester has made the list.
While creating the list, Money "analyzed 60 key factors: taxes, education, health care and more...places where homes are affordable and jobs are plentiful."
West Chester scored well on median home price -- $205,000 -- unemployment rate -- 4.6 percent -- and public, free, many times outdoor events. Topgolf, Lakota Local Schools, West Chester Hospital and Former Speaker of the House John Boehner also got shoutouts in Money's synopsis of the township.
Last year, Mason, Ohio listed as the 17th best place to live by Money Magazine.
The best place to live in 2016, according to Money, is Columbia, Maryland.
