Thanksgiving eve 2017: Here's where to party

Thanksgiving Eve with the Tillers: 9 p.m. Wednesday. Arnold's Bar and Grill, 210 E. Eighth St., Downtown. Enjoy live music by the Tillers at Arnold's during this event presented by Jim Beam. 

Thanksgiving Eve at Queen City Exchange: Starts at 2 p.m. Wednesday. Queen City Exchange, 32 W. Court St., Downtown. Enjoy $3 pints from any of the bar's 41 drafts from 6-9 p.m. 

Fowl Play Thanksgiving Eve Bash: 9 p.m.-close Wednesday. Mount Adams Pavilion, 949 Pavilion St., Mount Adams. DJs Fuseamania and Ben & Milkshake will provide the music. VIP bottle service will be available. 

Hightail Mount Adams grand opening: Starts at 6 p.m. Wednesday. Hightail Mount Adams, 941 Pavilion St., Mount Adams. Celebrate the grand opening of 4EG's newest bar. 

MOTR Pre-Thanksgiving Party: 9 p.m. Wednesday. MOTR, 1345 Main St., Over-the-Rhine. Ernie Johnson from Detroit will perform two free sets.

Soul Step Records Brewers Series #4: 8 p.m.-1 a.m. Wednesday. Rhinegeist, 1910 Elm St., Over-the-Rhine. Celebrate the release of the latest vinyl from Soul Step Records. Modern Aquatic, the band on the record being released, will play at 10 p.m. 

Thanksgiving Eve Brewery Tour: 7-10:30 p.m. Wednesday. JACK Casino, 1000 Broadway St., Downtown. Visit new and favorite craft breweries during this Cincinnati Brew Bus tour to Braxton, Brink and Rhinegeist. $55 drinkers; $25 non-drinkers. Must be age 21 or up to ride. 

Go Go Buffalo, Yardboss and Founding Fathers: 9 p.m.-midnight Wednesday. The Hub, 1209 Main St., Over-the-Rhine. Ages 21 and up. Listen to three live sets. 

The Generics at Belterra Park Gaming: 8 p.m.-midnight Wednesday. Belterra Park Gaming, 6301 Kellogg Road, Anderson Township. Ages 21 and up. Enjoy live music while trying your luck at the tables. 

Thanksgiving Eve Party at the Mockbee: 9 p.m.-2 a.m. Wednesday. The Mockbee, 2260 Central Parkway, West End. Ages 21 and up. Dance the night away to a five-hour DJ set that includes disco, funk, house and techno. 

Thanksgiving Eve at Tin Roof: 10 p.m. Wednesday. Tin Roof, 160 E. Freedom Way, Downtown. The Flip Cup All-Stars will perform, and the bar will serve $4 Fireball shots all evening. 

The Night Before Thanksgivings at the Dock: Starts at 10 p.m. Wednesday. The Dock, 603 W. Pete Rose Way, Downtown. Dance until 3 a.m. -- and possibly suffer through Thanksgiving later in the day.

Thanksgiving Eve at Northside Tavern: 10 p.m.-1 a.m. Wednesday. Northside Tavern, 4163 Hamilton Ave., Northside. When Particles Collide, Lung, Us and Today will keep the party going with free live music. 

The Blue Wisp Big Band 38th annual Thanksgiving Eve Extravaganza: 8-11:15 p.m. Wednesday. Urban Artifact, 1660 Blue Rock St., Northside. The Blue Wisp Big Band will perform two sets Thanksgiving Eve. The first is 8-9:15 p.m. and the second is 10-11:15 p.m. Cost is $18 per set. The band also will re-release its first recording from 1981 at the event. 

Thanksgiving Eve at Treehouse Patio Bar: Doors open at 8 p.m. Wednesday. Treehouse Patio Bar, 1133 Sycamore St., Over-the-Rhine. Rapper Mike Jones will perform. Free entry before midnight. 

New Wave Night at Japp's: 8 p.m. Wednesday. Japp's Since 1879, 1134 Main St., Over-the-Rhine. Dress in your best 1980s outfits, sip era-inspired cocktails and dance the night away to New Wave music. 

Thanksgiving Eve at Moerlein Lager House: 8 p.m.-midnight Wednesday. Moerlein Lager House, 115 Joe Nuxhall Way, Downtown. The Moerlein Alumni Club is back with fresh beer, DJs, cocktails, $3 Hudepohl bottles and $10 buckets of Little Kings. Moerlein's kitchen also will stay open later than usual. 

Octave's "Gobble Wobble": 8 p.m. Wednesday. Octave, 611 Madison Ave., Covington. Ages 21 and up. For $20 enjoy a Thanksgiving dinner buffet, four drink tickets, a photobooth and an entry into a $150 bar tab giveaway. 

Thanksgiving Eve at Molly's: 6 p.m.-2 a.m. Wednesday. Molly Malone's, 112 E. Fourth St., Covington. Drink beer and spend time with friends this Thanksgiving Eve.

Get Stuff on Local Music: 8 p.m. Wednesday. Southgate House Revival, 111 E. Sixth St., Newport. Ages 18 and up. $10-$12. There will be three stages of live music to keep you entertained. 

Gobble 23: 8 p.m.-2:30 a.m. Wednesday. Thompson House, 24 E. Third St., Newport. All ages. $15 in advance; $20 at the door. Enjoy 25 DJs spinning an eclectic playlist of musical genres. 

Thanksgiving Eve at Energy Night Club: 10 p.m.-2 a.m. Wednesday. Ages 18 and up. Free entry before 11 p.m. Party the night away. 

Taftsgiving: State of the Reunion: 7-10 p.m. Wednesday. Taft's Ale House, 1429 Race St., Over-the-Rhine. Drink craft beer and enter a raffle for commemorative T-shirts, gift cards and two pairs of tickets to the Taft's New Year's Eve Bash. 

Thanksgiving Eve Planes Trains & Automobiles: 8-11 p.m. Wednesday. 16-Bit Arcade+Bar, 1331 Walnut St., Over-the-Rhine. Enjoy an evening inspired by the comedy movie starring John Candy and Steve Martin. 

Green Bean Casserole Eating Contest: 9 p.m.-midnight Wednesday. POP Bar, 3923 Eastern Ave., Columbia Tusculum. Participate in or just watch POP's first ever green been casserole eating contest.

Red Light Jazz Room Pre-Thanksgiving Show featuring Dawn Bosan: 8 p.m.-midnight Wednesday. Revel OTR, 111 E. 12th St., Over-the-Rhine. Free. Spend a chill evening sipping wine and listening to the smooth jazz of trumpet player Dawn Bosan. The evening will also feature art from Nick Brown. 

Thanksgiving Eve Bash: 2 p.m.-midnight Wednesday. Nine Giant Brewing, 6095 Montgomery Road, Pleasant Ridge. The brewery will tap its Double Dry Hopped IPA, serving pommes frites with chili and beer cheese and slinging cocktails throughout the night. 

Thanksgiving Fowler: 5-11 p.m. Wednesday. 13 Below Brewery, 7391 Forbes Road, Sayler Park. For every pint drank at the brewery receive a ticket for the chance to win a growler of beer. the brewery will hold drawings at 8, 9, 10 and 11 p.m. 

Drinksgiving with Young Colt: 10 p.m.-midnight Wednesday. Mecca OTR, 1429 Walnut St., Over-the-Rhine. Young Colt will play as people enjoy a few drinks at Mecca.
