Halloween party guide 2017: Monster mash with these events

CINCINNATI -- It's time to wake the dead this Halloween.

Enjoy bone-rattling fun with Halloween Haunt at Kings Island. And don't forget about all of the bar crawls and plenty of costume parties throughout Greater Cincinnati.

Possibly win some cash, dance the night away and enjoy cocktails, food, music and treats at these events:

Boozy Pumpkin Carving Party: 7-10 p.m. Oct. 26. POP Bar, 3923 Eastern Ave., Columbia Tusculum. Carve complimentary pumpkins while drinking $4 pumpkin beers on draft. One lucky winner will receive a prize for the coolest pumpkin designed. For more information visit the Facebook event page.

Dusk to Darkness: 7 p.m. Oct. 27-28. Darkness Brewing Co., 224 Fairfield Ave, Bellevue. For two nights Darkness Brewing will host a haunted maze and Halloween party. Woodburn Halloween: 6-9 p.m. Oct. 27. Woodburn Avenue, East Walnut Hills. Free. Come dressed in costumes for this special edition of Walk on Woodburn. A Night of Revelry: 7-10 p.m. Oct. 27. Revel OTR, 111 E. 12th St., Over-the-Rhine. $15 advance; $20 at the door. The Boys & Girls Club of Greater Cincinnati TRULeaders young professional group is hosting its annual Halloween party at Revel. There will be a costume contest, prizes, drink specials and free Dewey's Pizza while supplies last. All proceeds will benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Cincinnati. Run Like Hell: Race starts at 7 p.m. Oct. 27. Xavier University, corner of Dana and Woodburn Ave., Evanston. $40 until Oct. 26; $45 day-of. $15 party-only tickets. This Halloween-themed 5K run and walk includes a trip through a cemetery, followed by an after-party. Everyone is encouraged to come dressed for fun. Fourth Annual Oakley Masquerade: 8 p.m.-midnight Oct. 27. 20th Century Theater, 3021 Madison Road, Oakley. $50 general admission; $75 VIP; $400 table. Ages 21 and up. General admission includes access to a haunted nightclub, bar service, a silent auction, costume contest and photo booth. VIP and table packages include special bar and access to balcony view. 2017 Hocus Pocus Halloween: 3 p.m.-midnight Oct. 28. Downtown Middletown, Main Street. $32.49 for dance; outdoor festival is free. Dance is ages 21 and up. Downtown Middletown Inc. will host an outdoor festival for kids and an indoor bash for adults at the Windamere Event Center, located at 2 S. Yuletide Nightmare at The Video Archive: 5 p.m.-2 a.m. Oct. 28. The Video Archive, 965 E. McMillan St., Walnut Hills. The Video Archive will transform into a twisted holiday pop-up bar that blends Christmas and Halloween.
