CINCINNATI -- Two people were injured in a shooting early Sunday near the University of Cincinnati.

The shooting happened on Warner Street near Stratford Avenue at about 1 a.m., Cincinnati Police Lt. Steve Saunders said.

The victims were in their late teens or early 20s, Saunders said. Their injuries aren't life-threatening.

They were not UC students, according to a university representative.

Saunders said it appears there was some type of altercation before the shooting.

The person or people who fired were last seen in a silver Hyundai Elantra headed south on Stratford, according to an alert from UC's police department.

Anyone with information on the double shooting should call university police at 513-556-1111 or Cincinnati Police at 513-765-1212.
