CINCINNATI -- Police have no description of the shooter who seriously injured a driver on a Downtown freeway ramp Tuesday evening.

The victim was shot while driving in traffic at about 5:30 p.m., Cincinnati Police Sgt. Eric Franz said. He isn't expected to survive, Franz said.

The ramp, from the Sixth Street Expressway to Second Street/southbound Interstate 75, was closed for several hours.

Police did not have any information about the shooter or the circumstances.

The bullet shattered the victim's driver's side window. Although his vehicle crashed into another, Franz said no one else was seriously hurt.

A female passenger was in the car with the shooting victim, Franz said, but she speaks very little English. Franz said he hopes investigators will have more information on the shooter after the female passenger speaks to an interpreter.

The ramp re-opened at about 8:45 p.m.
