HAMILTON, Ohio -- A suspect wanted in connection to a St. Clair Township homicide was arrested in California, Butler County Sheriff Richard Jones announced Tuesday.
Authorities found Trey Shepard, 29, suffering from a gunshot wound early Saturday. He was flown to Miami Valley Hospital, but died from his injuries there.
The sheriff's office identified 26-year-old William D. Harris as a suspect in Shepard's death.
Detectives got information that Harris and his girlfriend, 23-year-old Terriaoni Head, were taking a bus to California. They contacted authorities there, who took the couple into custody when the bus arrived.
Harris was charged with murder. Head was charged with obstructing justice.
