CINCINNATI -- A former University of Cincinnati professor pleaded guilty Monday to one count of possession of child pornography, the U.S. Attorney's office said.
Holt Parker, 59, used the email account DADDY.CRUEL@YAHOO.COM to collect and trade child porn online, according to an FBI affidavit.
He admitted he tried to destroy a thumb drive with nearly 1,000 video files, most of them child porn, the U.S. Attorney's office said.
Parker, who formerly taught Classics, told the FBI he planned to commit suicide if he ever got caught, the federal agents said.
The FBI affidavit says Parker called himself Mr. Cruel Daddy online.

Federal agents arrested Parker at his Clifton home in March.
Parker's plea agreement stipulates that an "appropriate sentence" would be at least three years in prison, but no more than eight years in prison. It also asks that the judge impose a $5,000 special assessment, a fine, restitution and a term of supervised release.
Parker remains free on bond, but he's barred from having any access to computers or children. U.S. District Judge Timothy S. Black will schedule Parker's sentencing after a court investigation.
