CINCINNATI -- Police found the van used in the shooting of a Lachey’s manager early on Thanksgiving morning, Cincinnati police said Wednesday.

The Cincinnati Police Department District One Violent Crimes Squad located the van used in the shooting of Ellie Richardson near the intersection of 12th and Walnut Streets. The suspect shot Richardson in the face, and she remains in the hospital.

Richardson, 27, was leaving the restaurant when a person in a black van shouted at her. When she approached the vehicle, the shooter pulled the trigger.

A Facebook post on Wednesday said Richardson's recovering was progressing and surgeons had developed a plan to repair the damage to her skull.

"The oral surgeons have a multiple surgery plan to repair her jaw, cheek bone and eye socket," the most recent post in a group dedicated to her recovery reads. "They are also confident there is no neurological damage. She is still in a lot of pain, but her resiliency is coming through."

Anyone with information about the suspect’s identity should call Crime Stoppers at 513-352-3040.
