GEORGETOWN, Ohio -- A Brown County grand jury indicted four people on charges related to a fatal death Thursday.
Andrew Chapman, of Mount Orab, died of a fentanyl overdose on Feb. 25.
Fentanyl is an opioid 50-100 times more potent than heroin.
Authorities said Mount Orab residents Justin Taylor, 33, Amanda Fields, 36, Gwen Smith, 47, and Michael Smith, 48, were connected to Chapman's death. Authorities have warrants for the arrests of all four.
"Every single drug overdose death is a tragedy," Brown County Prosecutor Zac Corbin said in a news release. "We will continue to aggressively pursue those that choose to sell these deadly drugs and hold them accountable for causing death."
Taylor is charged with involuntary manslaughter, corrupting another with drugs, reckless homicide, trafficking in heroin, aggravated trafficking in drugs and tampering with evidence.
Fields is charged with involuntary manslaughter, corrupting another with drugs, reckless homicide, trafficking in heroin, aggravated trafficking in drugs and tampering with evidence.
Gwen Smith and Michael Smith are each charged with reckless homicide and tampering with evidence.
