What's next: Hagit Limor traveled to Poland and Germany to scout locations for an immersive/virtual reality project her University of Cincinnati students will be helping to shoot this October. (WCPO-TV plans to cover the students’ journey.) Moniek’s Legacy uses her father’s story to fight hatred and bigotry today. Hagit Limor serves as a broadcasting talent coach, Electronic Media professor at the University of Cincinnati, and Emmy and national award-winning investigative reporter. She’s covered news stories throughout the United States, Central America, Asia and Europe. Hagit also served as National President of the Society of Professional Journalists and currently sits as Vice President of its Foundation, promoting excellence and ethics in media through educational programs and grants for journalism-related projects.

Hagit’s abilities as a writer and reporter have garnered national, state and local awards including ten Emmy awards, National Headliner Awards, national Sigma Delta Chi Awards, national finalist with the Investigative Reporters and Editors Association, and top awards from the Association of Health Care Journalists, Society of Environmental Journalists, Ohio Associated Press and Society of Professional Journalists, and local SPJ awards.

Hagit has spoken widely at journalism conferences in the United States and internationally. She volunteers extensively in her community, sitting on numerous boards, including current board secretary for the Holocaust & Humanity Center at Union Terminal. The Bethesda Foundation awarded her for community service. She also emcees, speaks and hosts events for various community organizations.

Hagit received bachelor's and master's degrees from the Medill School of Journalism, Northwestern University. She graduated with top honors and was named a McCormick Scholar.
