'Westworld' star Jeffrey Wright stops into Arnold's

Warning: There's a "Westworld" spoiler below if you haven't kept up with the series.

CINCINNATI -- "Westworld" star Jeffrey Wright stopped in iconic Eighth Street bar Arnold's on Friday night -- and there's more meaning to the story than just another celebrity sighting.

Wright is in Cincinnati for "The Public," a movie Emilio Estevez is currently filming here. It centers around a standoff with police and library officials at the Downtown branch of the Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County after patrons, many homeless and mentally ill, turn the library into an impromptu shelter for one night during a brutal cold snap.

Arnold's Bar and Grill posted a photo of Wright with the bar manager on its Facebook page. The establishment is named for Simon Arnold, who opened what is now Cincinnati's oldest bar in 1861.

"Three generations of the Arnold family lived upstairs and operated Arnold's for ninety-eight years," Arnold's website says. "Since then Arnold's has had only four other owners."

The interesting part of the names: In HBO series "Westworld," Wright plays a host named Bernard modeled after one of the Westworld creators named Arnold.

Coincidence? Maybe. Or maybe not.
