CINCINNATI — What do music, mistletoe and Mariah Carey have in common?
Thanks to the Greater Cincinnati Film Commission, now more than the pop diva’s 1994 Christmas album.
Mariah Carey: All I want for Christmas is you
The commission announced on Tuesday that the pop singer diva will deliver on that holiday wish when she begins filming “Melody & Mistletoe” in the region starting in October. The made-for-TV movie will air on the Hallmark Channel on Dec. 19 at 8 p.m. ET.
Carey is set to direct with executive producer Brad Krevoy and Motion Pictures Corporation of American providing support. MPCA filmed “The Christmas Spirit” here in 2013.
“We are ecstatic to have MPCA back in Cincinnati,” said Kristen Schlotman, Executive Director of the Greater Cincinnati Film Commission. “We have been setting a tremendous pace this year and we are seeing our production industry grow tremendously in 2015.”
Executive Producers Stella Bulochnikov, Jonathan Axelrod, Alan Ett, Eric Jarboe and Kevin Connor also join the team.
Tuesday’s announcement is the latest in a string of motion pictures choosing to film in the Tri-State.
The film commission last week announced production for “Marauders” starring Bruce Willis will begin in Cincinnati at the end of September.
That film’s director, Steven C. Miller, has been scouting locations and sharing them via social media over the past week.

An Ohio tax incentive signed into law in 2012 and renewed this year has been a key ingredient in bringing movies like “Mauraders” and “Melody & Mistletoes” to the Tri-State, the commission stated.
