CINCINNATI – An East Side craft brewery closed its doors for good on Monday, according to its website.

On Monday afternoon, Blank Slate Brewing's website was updated with the following message: “Closed. Thanks for the memories.”

There was no further explanation from the brewery, located at 4233 Airport Road in East End. Its Instagram, Facebook and Twitter accounts disappeared earlier in the day.

Blank Slate owner Scott LaFollette did not return multiple messages for comment.

Blank Slate, which began brewing in 2012 before Ohio allowed breweries to operate taprooms, celebrated its anniversary in July.

Last year Blank Slate began canning Fork in the Road, its signature amber India ale, year round and Out & About, a gose, during the summer. LaFollette told WCPO at the time that he hoped to increase the brewery’s production in the months ahead.
