BELLEVUE, Ky. -- Braxton Brewing Co. will open Braxton Labs, a secondary brewery and taproom, with a party on May 26, according to its owners.
“It’s hard to believe we’re finally able to open these doors,” said Jake Rouse, Braxton co-founder and CEO, in a news release.
Braxton will host a party from 5-11 p.m. May 26 inside Braxton Labs, located at 95 Riviera Drive inside Bellevue’s Party Source. The event will feature beers brewed on site, a guest tap lineup, live music from the Kentucky Struts and local food from Cheese N Chong.
Braxton Labs beers that will be available at the party include a New England IPA, cherry saison and coffee vanilla milk stout.
Braxton Brewing, which opened in 2015 at 27 W. Seventh St. in Covington, announced plans to open Braxton Labs in March. Braxton’s owners said they will use the new space to brew more experimental craft beers while continuing to produce their flagship drinks in Covington.
“When our leadership team sat down to discuss a future where we had to dedicate solely to innovation, every aspect of the company was thrilled,” Jake Rouse said.
Braxton Labs will have nearly 2,000 barrels of production capacity. It also will have 40 taps in its taproom, which will include unique, non-Braxton beers made in the United States and abroad.
“From Day One, we set out to open Braxton with a commitment to what we deemed ‘multiplicity,’” said Evan Rouse, co-founder and Braxton COO. “Multiplicity is the idea of a wide portfolio of extremely well done styles, both recognized and unrecognized. With the addition of Braxton Labs, we will have an unlimited ability to innovate, imagine and explore.”
