ALEXANDRIA, KY – After more than a year of searching, the owner of Alexandria Brewing Company has found a location for his craft brewery in Campbell County.
In a blog post, Andy Reynoldsannounced he is leasing a large space at 7926 Alexandria Pike in Alexandria. In July 2016, Reynolds said he hoped to have his brewery up and running by the end of 2017.

Reynolds explained issues with an initial property he hoped to purchase caused the delay in Alexandria Brewing Co.'s opening.
"To explain things to you in a nutshell, we were looking at a large piece of property on Alexandria Pike (US 27) for over a year," Reynolds wrote. "On our final trip out there with two of our investors, we noticed ornamental grass had been cut down revealing a septic tank . . . So, we got quotes on tapping into sewer and quotes on a commercial grade septic system. At the end of the day, that property would not work. Our entire remodeling budget would have been spent on one of these two options."
Reynolds stated the septic tank was not disclosed in the real estate sales information. He said he now hopes to open his brewery by March 2018. Remodeling work on the space is currently underway.
"We had hoped to be open this past summer, but we had to rewrite everything," he wrote. "So, we ask you bear with us."
Reynolds, a United States Army veteran who served in Iraq, originally announced plans to finance part of his brewery with a Kickstarter funding campaign.
He is also a Siebel Institute-trained brewer who has worked closely with other breweries in Greater Cincinnati.
