What are you most proud of when it comes to your work? I'm proud of the body of work I've produced over the years. I think I've written more than 4,000 stories in my career, many of them about issues crucial to the region's long-term survival.
What are you most proud of in your own life? I'm proudest of family accomplishments, including 27 wonderful years with my wife, Reggie. My sons, Max and Anthony, have grown up to be healthy, productive, nice people.
What do you love about living in the Tri-State? So many reasons. Parks, rivers, theaters, sports teams. Entertainment options are cheap and plentiful here.
What are your favorite local hangouts/places, sports & cultural institutions? I love spending time at Great American Ball Park. Sometimes, I even watch the game. I'm also fond of Museum Center, the Aronoff Center and every park with a river view.
All-time favorites? Favorite band: The Beatles, Bob Dylan, Frank Sinatra, Steve Earle. Favorite TV: Beverly Hillbillies, Thornbirds, Person of Interest. Favorite books: Babbitt, The Hobbitt, Pudd'nhead Wilson.
